Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Duties will include:

• Welcoming and greeting customers.
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service.
• Maintaining the condition of the store and ensuring products adhere to the company’s merchandising standards.
• Carrying out stock taking duties.
• Taking card and cash payments at a Point-of-Sale unit.
• Ascertaining the needs and wants of the customer.
• Recommending and displaying items that are suitable to the customer’s needs.
• Actively involved in the receipt of shipments.
• An up-to-date knowledge of the products on sale.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the store up to the management’s standards.
• Performing store opening and closing operations.

Requirements & Skills:

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of customer service practices.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Eager to learn and execute tasks as directed.
• Friendly, helpful, confident, and proactive.
• Basic knowledge of administrative work.
